DAY 1
TRANSFER FROM SHUMBA AIRPORT (JAEN) TO CHACHAPOYAS
- Pick up from Shumba airport (Jaén).
- Transfer to the city of Chachapoyas.

DAY 2
MONUMENTAL ARCHAEOLOGICAL ZONE OF KUELAP
- 7:00 a.m.- Breakfast.
- 8:30 am.- Departure to the district of Nuevo Tingo, where the Kuelap Telecabinas are located, we will enjoy a 20 minute ride over the clouds.
- We arrive at the Malca and from there we begin the 30 minute walk to the Monumental Archaeological Zone of Kuelap, located at 3,000 meters above sea level. Archaeological complex of greater significance for the Chachapoyas, built since the sixth century A.D. and discovered in 1843, impresses its stone walls up to 20 meters high, which protect more than 500 circular houses, many of them decorated with friezes in the form of zigzag and rhomboids, distributed over more than seven hectares in extension.
- Lunch in Tingo.
- Return to Chachapoyas.
- Overnight.
DAY 3
SARCOPHAGI OF KARAJIA – QUIOCTA CAVES
- 7:00 a.m.- Breakfast.
- 8:30 a.m.- We will leave for the town of Lamud to visit the Quiocta caves, located at 3,100 m.a.s.l. approximately.
- We will explore within 150 meters a diversity of stalactites and stalagmites, which are formed by the action of dripping water on calcite rock.
- In the afternoon we will visit the village of Cruzpata where the Sarcophagi of Karajía, located in inaccessible cliffs, are placed the mummified bodies of the most important rulers of the Chachapoyas culture.
- Guided tour.
- Return to Chachapoyas.
- Overnight.
DAY 4
REVASH MAUSOLEUMS AND LEYMEBAMBA MUSEUM
- 7:00 am. – Breakfast.
- 8:00 am. – We will leave towards the town of San Bartolo located at 2,841 meters above sea level. From there we will begin a 30 minute hike to the Revash burial chullpas or also known as Revash Mausoleums.
- In the afternoon we travel to the village of Leymebamba at 2,203 meters above sea level.
- Lunch and visit to the community museum of Leymebamba, where we can appreciate more than 219 Chachapoyas mummies that despite the centuries that have passed are in a good state of preservation.
- We will be able to appreciate looms, ceramics, weapons of war, musical instruments and an interesting collection of Inca quipus.
- Return to Chachapoyas.
- Overnight.
DAY 5
GOCTA WATERFALL
- 7:00 am. – Breakfast.
- 9:00 a.m.- The Gocta waterfall is one of the major natural attractions of the Amazon. At 771 meters high, it is considered “The third highest waterfall in the world” by many tourists.
- Our journey begins from the city of Chachapoyas at 2,334 meters above sea level to the town of Cocachimba, at 1,830 meters above sea level, from where we will begin the adventure of a hike of approximately 5 hours round trip to the second fall of 540 meters high.
- During the tour you can see interesting plants, abundant vegetation and birds such as the cock of the rock.
- Upon returning to the village of Cocachimba we enjoy a succulent lunch.
- We then return to Chachapoyas.
DAY 6
TRANSFER FROM CHACHAPOYAS TO SHUMBA AIRPORT (JAEN)
- Transfer from the city of Chachapoyas to the airport of Shumba (Jaén).
