DAY 1
MONUMENTAL ARCHAEOLOGICAL ZONE OF KUELAP
- 08:30 AM KUELAP. Tours to the Monumental Zone of Kuelap, located at 3000 m.a.s.l., archaeological complex of major significance for the Chachapoyas, built since the sixth century A.D. and discovered in 1843, impresses its stone walls up to 20 meters high, which protect more than 500 circular houses, many of them are decorated with friezes in the form of zigzag and rhomboids, distributed in more than seven hectares of extension.
- GUIDED TOUR. The visit is guided, starting the tour from the district of Tingo where the Kuelap Telecabinas are located, which we will enjoy a 20 minute ride over the clouds.
- LUNCH.
- RETURN TO CHACHAPOYAS. After the visit, lunch in the district of Tingo and return to Chachapoyas.
DAY 2
SARCOPHAGI OF KARAJIA – QUIOCTA CAVES
- 07:00 AM BREAKFAST
- 08:30 AM QUIOCTA CAVERNS. We will depart from Chachapoyas to the town of Lamud to visit in the upper part of the Quiocta caves, located at 3100 meters above sea level approximately, where we will explore within 150 meters a diversity of stalactites and stalagmites, which are formed by the action of dripping water in calcite stone, in the afternoon we will visit the town of Cruzpata where we will find the funerary statues of Karajía, located in inaccessible cliffs, placed the mummified bodies of the most important rulers of the Chachapoyas culture, guided visit, return to Chachapoyas.
DAY 3
GOCTA WATERFALL
- 07:00 AM BREAKFAST
9:00 AM COCACHIMBA. The Gocta waterfall is one of the greatest natural attractions of Amazonas, with its 771 meters high, considered the third highest waterfall in the world by many tourists, our tour starts from the city of Chachapoyas at 2334 meters above sea level to the town of Cocachimba, located at 1830 meters above sea level, from where we will begin the adventure of a walk of about 5 hours round trip to the second fall which is 540 meters high. During the tour you can see interesting plants, abundant vegetation and birds such as the cock of the rock. - LUNCH.
- CHACHAPOYAS. Upon returning to the town of Cocachimba we enjoy a succulent lunch and then return to Chachapoyas.
